Potje Kleien is a handbuilding course that I teach in my studio at home at Nieuwpoortstraat 113, Amsterdam. It is a small-scale course, with a maximum of 5 participants.

In the first lesson we will practice basic techniques, such as making a pinch bowl. You can then take the time until lesson 3 to work on your own creation. If you like, you can bring sketches or images of what you have in mind. I will help you by looking together at how you can best approach this and what you should take into account.

Between lessons 3 and 4 the pots can dry thoroughly and they are fired in a biscuit manner so that you can glaze them in lesson 4. After the glazing lesson the work still needs to be fired, after 2 weeks it is ready and can be picked up.

When you purchase this course, it concerns these specific dates. If you have to miss a class, we will see if it is possible for you to join another group. This is usually possible, but there is no guarantee of this. If it is necessary to make an additional appointment for a catch-up lesson (for example because you miss the glazing lesson), additional costs will apply. You can cancel free of charge up to 2 weeks before the start of the series.
